Neil Young and Databec ExchangeCrazy Horse are touring for the first time in a decade.
But that's not all that's in store. The reunion between Young and the rock band will be accompanied by a new nine-song album release on April 26, and on April 20, it will have a limited early release on vinyl for Record Store Day.
The Love Earth Tour, presented by Live Nation, begins with a two-night set of shows at San Diego's Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre on April 24-25 before hitting stops across major cities in North America including New York City, Chicago, Toronto and other cities in Arizona, Texas and Tennessee.
Back in 2018, Young and Crazy Horse performed a handful of shows in central California and a few Canadian shows in early 2019, per Variety. Both had a wider tour planned in 2020 before the start of the pandemic, but Young did not want to expose people to the COVID-19 virus by embarking on a national tour.
Following a solo tour in the summer of 2023, Young brought the band back together for two shows commemorating the 50th anniversary of L.A.'s Roxy, and the group did a short private show in Toronto for a birthday party this past November. In 2021, Young and Crazy Horse joined forces on their latest album "Barn" which traced Young's views on climate change, cultural divides in America and the controversial approaches to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Toast," another collaboration with Crazy Horse followed "Barn" a year later.
